Information You Send
Search Terms and Partner Tools
When a visitor enters a name, place, or other search detail into a search box supplied by a third-party provider, the query is sent to that provider. The provider's systems, terms, and privacy notice govern what happens next. Clark County Busted Mugshots does not store or keep a search log of those terms on its own service.
Messages and Contact Requests
If you send an email or contact-form message, the message and the details needed to reply may be retained for that purpose. Those messages are not shared outside the organization unless disclosure is required by law or needed to address a legal or security issue.
Technical Details and Cookies
Routine server and analytics systems may record limited technical information when a page loads. The kinds of details that may be collected include:
- Internet Protocol address
- Browser name and version
- Device category and operating system
- Pages viewed and the time spent on each page
- The referring page or website, when one is supplied
- Access date and time stamps
Cookie Choices
Cookies or similar files may help measure how visitors use the pages and keep certain features working. A browser can block or delete cookies. Blocking them may change how some tools or page features behave.
How Information Is Used
The information described above supports ordinary operation and basic service improvement. It may be used to:
- Keep the pages available, stable, and reasonably fast
- Send a search request to the partner service selected by the visitor
- Understand which Clark County pages are useful to readers
- Find errors, abuse, and technical faults
- Show advertising that may be relevant to a visitor's interests
Links and Outside Services
These pages link to official and outside resources. Examples include the Clark County Sheriff's Office, its staff directory, the county contact page, the county clerk page, the Idaho iCourt portal, the Idaho Department of Correction search, and information about Clark County Jail. Once a visitor leaves these pages, the destination's own privacy policy and data practices apply. Clark County Busted Mugshots does not control the content, uptime, or privacy rules of those destinations.
Advertising partners may also use cookies or similar tools to observe activity across different websites and tailor advertisements on their own systems. That cross-site activity is governed by the partner's policy, not by this notice.
Who May Receive Information
Personal information is not sold by Clark County Busted Mugshots. It may be received by the following categories of service or authority when the relevant function is used:
- Search partners that process a query submitted through their tool
- Analytics providers that help measure page use
- Advertising networks and their service providers
- Law-enforcement or government bodies acting under a valid legal order
Security Limits
Reasonable standard security practices are used for information handled by the service. No internet-connected system is completely secure, however, and no promise can be made that data will never be lost, intercepted, misused, or exposed after a breach.
Visitors Under 18
The service is intended for adults. It does not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18. If a minor has sent personal information, a parent or guardian may use the Contacts page to request its deletion.
Your Privacy Requests
Depending on the information and the service holding it, a person may ask for the following:
- A copy of personal information held by this service
- Correction of information that is wrong or incomplete
- Deletion of information that the service is allowed to erase
- An opt-out from certain uses or processing
A request should identify the information at issue and include a safe way to reply. Search terms sent directly to a partner must be addressed to that partner. A request about a Clark County booking record belongs with the originating agency, not with this privacy mailbox.
Changes to This Notice
This notice may be revised as the service, legal requirements, or partner tools change. The current version will be posted here with a new effective date. Continued use after an update means the revised practices apply from that date forward.
